rolling right along

I do not remember roller skating being difficult. In fact, I thought I was pretty good. I had several roller skating birthday parties and even made an occasional visit to the local rink with friends until I was 13 or so.
Lately, I've had an itch to get into some quads--just for fun. Seattle had decent weather yesterday to try it out, but the whole experience ended up a disaster. I'm not sure if it was the crappy skates that felt as if they weighed 50 pounds each or that I never actually knew how to skate. Sheesh, I thought it would be like riding a bike!
